New Year of Kale and Rooster!

16 January 2017

Happy New Year! I am back from my break with more energy and creative ideas. Don’t you love this new-year-everything-is-possible feeling?!

The last few weeks went by so quickly and we’ve spend our holidays making the most of the warm summer days. We didn’t go away this year due to renovations so we hang out at a local pool at every opportunity, ate way too much turkey and ice-cream. It was great!

I am very excited about the year of Rooster! It’s going to be awesome 🙂 Chinese New Year starts on January 28th and is described as a prosperous and more balanced compare to the last year.

I achieved many things last year that were on my to-do list for a while (like getting my drivers licence – yay!) but I have a few important ones to tick off this year. For 2017, I’ve chosen a powerful word to inspire me – STRONG. It means so much to me, from feeling strong physically and emotionally, to being more focused and strong as business owner.

I must admit that I just went with a flow by the end of the year as I felt pretty much done with 2016 by October….. With renovations and not having a decent break, I had no energy left for making things happen so I just went with a flow. Feeling very inspired by the word I’ve chosen, and a small break, I am ready to get back into the designing & making.

Every year I look up new colours by Pantone to get some inspiration. Did you know that 2017 is a year of Kale and all things green? Personally, I love Hazelnut and Primrose Yellow 🙂

Earthy tones, reflecting the colours of nature and the great outdoors are predicted to be popular this year. If you are into colours like I am, read more HERE.

Bring on 2017!

Much love & Happiness,
